The Embassy of India, Cultures France, the Alliance Francaise net work in India with the support of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, will present Bonjour India – The Festival of France in India from December 09 to January 2010.

 With more than 150 events from December 2009 to January 2010 across India and featuring close to 250 artists, designers, researchers and entrepreneurs, the Bonjour India festival is France’s most significant rendez-vous with India. From New Delhi to Mumbai, Kolkata to Chennai, moving on to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune and thereon to Pondichery and Jaipur, more than ten Indian cities will usher in the series of exhibitions, concerts, literary and cinematographic events, artistic meets, debates and conferences, economic and scientific exchanges, organised over a period of two months by Culturesfrance and the French Embassy in India. 

 The French Embassy in India with the Alliance Francaise in Hyderabad, supported by the Krishnakriti Festival, would be hosting an Art camp, art presentations, discussions and talks from 7 January  to  11 January 2010 at Kalakriti Art gallery, Hyderabad. The Art camp will inaugurate Bonjour India – the French Festival in Hyderabad section on the 7 January 2010.

 The Krishnakriti Festival is aimed at achieving a blend of the three fine aspects of our lives art, culture and education. The art camp will be infused with life by about 15 participating who will gather here from all across the globe, giving one the rare opportunity to see celebrated artists at work and interact with them over a period of five days. Dedicated to the cause of “Art for education”, the Krishnakriti festival is aimed at providing scholarships to deserving students, who will benefit from the proceeds of the sales of the art camp. Till date we are supporting around 150 students of their complete educational needs from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Shantiniketan, Delhi, Baroda and some of them being at the Ecole des beaux arts in Paris.

French Embassy Krishnakriti Fellowship

The Embassy of France in India and Krishnakriti present a golden opportunity for qualified artists and students to complete a 6 month internship in the art capital of the world. Shortlisted candidates will be offered the opportunity to travel to France and study at premier art institutes under fellowship. The awardee would have French government scholarship holder status.

Scholarship Details:

  • First Prize of 615 Euros per month for 12 months + Social Security + Return airfare from Delhi to Paris
  • Second Prize of 615 Euros per month for 6 months + Social Security + Return airfare from Delhi to Paris
  • Third Prize is Stand by in case of due to emergency any of the two candidates are not able to go to France.

 

 

Terms & Conditions:

  • Applicants must hold a BFA / MFA degree. Final year students can apply.
  • Last date of submission of forms is February 15th, 2009.
  • Age Limit: Maximum age of 28 years on the last date of submission of forms.
  • This competition is open to resident citizens of India only.

Note: The vast majority of courses in France are offered in French language. It is advisable that candidates acquire functional knowledge of the language equal to 200 Hours of French Language Classes before embarking on the fellowship.

Courses in French language are offered by Alliance Francaise in 12 major cities of India (Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh,, Bangalore, Pondichery, Trivandrum, Bhopal).
